The Advanced Battery Manufacturing Workshop was a hybrid event held on 16–17 April 2026 at Homerton College, University of Cambridge, and online. This two‑day workshop was co-organised and supported by the battery projects: BATTwin, AM4BAT and BatCAT.
Around 60 participants attended in person over the two days, with approximately 100 participants joining online.

CNT Synthesis, Manufacturing and Applications Symposium

The Carbon Nanotube Synthesis, Manufacturing and Applications Symposium was organised by Cambridge Nanomaterials Technology Ltd, based on instructions by our client. The event took place on 8th October 2025 at Homerton College, Cambridge, UK, and was held both in person and online.
Nanomaterials for Energy and Environmental Applications Online Conference
7 -8 May 2025 – Online (ZOOM)
This event had the participation of around 40 people. The majority of participants came from industry.
Speakers, exhibitors and participants came from the following leading industrial and research organisations: Rise University, CEA-Liten, Stellantis – Centro Ricerche FIAT (CRF), Avanzare, Haydale, GRAPHENEA – KIVORO, Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult, Halocell, LEITAT, AIMEN, European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF), Cranfield University, Keysight Technologies, ABB, OCSiAl, ElevenEs, RomaTre University, Alicante University, FORTH and others.
Workshop on improved barrier films with functionalised nanomaterials

This workshop on high-carrier films with nanomaterials for packaging was organised as an Open Day of the HiBarFilm Project, took place at Homerton College in Cambridge on 11 February 2025 as a hybrid event. A total of 42 participants registered, with 25 attending in person and 17 joining online. Most external organisations represented were from industry.

Workshop on lightweight, multifactional and digitalised materials for offshore wind and tidal turbines

This workshop on structural health monitoring of composites used in the wind tidal turbine applications is related to the Open Day of the Carbo4Power project. The Open Day took place on the 10th October 2024 at Homerton College in Cambridge, UK, as a hybrid meeting. This hybrid event attracted 60 participants.
Attendees included companies and institutions such as Airbus Commercial, Graphenea, Onyriq, EireComposites, IDCORE – FastBlade, Avanzare Innovación Tecnológica, EURECAT -Technology Centre, INEGI, TMBK Partners, E.G.O. Elektro-Gerätebau, Nanografi Nano Technology, Tecnalia, LEITAT Technological Center, University of Leeds, Sigmatex (UK), NOVITOM, University College London, Nanyang Technological University, Cranfield University, University of Bolton, Centro Tecnológico CTC, Brunel Composites Centre (BCC), TWI, and Simperler Consulting.
The event attracted media attention, with the Cambridge Independent newspaper publishing an article about it.
Workshop on personalised 3D bio-printed collagen-and-gelatin implants

A workshop on personalised 3D bio-printed collagen-and-gelatin implants took place as a hybrid meeting, in Cambridge UK at the Clayton Hotel Cambridge, UK on the 23rd January 2024. This workshop was related to the TriAnkle project (Grant Agreement 952981).
More than 60 people registered to participate the event in person and online from 17 countries from Europe, Asia, South America and from the US. External delegates were coming from leading institutions and organisations. External delegates were coming from leading institutions and organisations such as: among others. Most participating organisations belong to industry. From those people that registered, 52 delegates participated in the workshop, of which 33 attended the event in person.
An article about the Open Exploitation and Innovation Workshops was published in the Cambridge Independent newspaper on 4th January 2024 containing the information about the TriAnkle project and the event in general. The article can be found at the following link. On the day of the event, a photographer from the same newspaper came to the event and took a few photo shoots, which were later used in a follow-up article published on 2nd February.
